Highlights . . .
NARSAD Florida honored actor Joe Pantoliano and David Shern, president of Mental Health America, with the Luminary Award for their contributions to our goal of supporting brain research and reducing the stigma attached to mental illness and brain disorders.
Also at the 11th annual Sunshine from Darkness Gala was Joseph Greco, director of the movie, “Canvas,” and NARSAD’s President and CEO Geoff Birkett.
The NARSAD Florida Junior Committee hosted its first-ever fund/friendraiser, “Don’t Worry Be Happy” — a Jamaican-themed beach bash at the Longboat Key Club and Resort.
